Mobile EFTPOS is a portable payment terminal that uses 4G/SIM and WiFi connectivity to accept card payments anywhere — no fixed phone line required. Payee’s mobile terminals are ideal for trades, hospitality, delivery, markets, and any business that takes payments away from a fixed counter.
All Payee mobile terminals include built-in 4G SIM connectivity with WiFi backup. The SIM is included free. Dual-SIM is available for maximum coverage in remote or low-signal areas. If you’re in a venue with reliable WiFi, the terminal will prefer that connection automatically.
Payee’s mobile terminals are designed for all-day battery life — typically 8–12 hours of active use depending on the terminal model and transaction frequency. The PAX A77 and VeriFone T650p both feature extended batteries suitable for full trading days.
With No Cost EFTPOS, all transaction fees are automatically surcharged to the customer — you pay $0 in merchant fees. For businesses processing $10,000+/month, terminal rental is also waived. The surcharge is displayed transparently at checkout in compliance with Australian regulations. Note that the RBA has proposed banning surcharges on Eftpos, Mastercard and Visa from 1 July 2026.
Yes — Payee is designed so you can mix and match mobile and countertop terminals across your business. All terminals are managed through the same merchant portal and settled into the same bank account. Perfect for venues that need both tableside mobile units and a fixed front-of-house terminal.

No lock-in contracts, no exit fees and no cancellation fees. You can terminate with 30 days’ notice. Monthly terminal rental fees are not refunded or pro-rated. Terms and conditions apply including minimum eligibility criteria on some plans.

- Terms, conditions and eligibility criteria apply. No terminal rental applies for No Cost EFTPOS merchants processing $10,000+ per month. For merchants below this threshold, terminal rental from $29/month applies.
- Merchants may terminate the Agreement on 30 days’ notice. Monthly Terminal Rental Fees will not be refunded or pro-rated for the notice period.
- Settlement times are subject to terms and conditions. Same-day settlement available for qualifying bank accounts for transactions processed before 9pm AEST. Alipay+ and WeChat: settlement generally three business days after processing.
